Our family’s strong cultural traditions played a significant role in coming back to our roots in Hercegovina, when we purchased the farm in 2008.
Tradition
After farming the 120 Ha of vineyards for ten years, we decided to start our own winery and produce wine to honour this extraordinary terroir and to continue the century old custom of winemaking in this region. Records can be found of Hercegovina wines in the Middle Ages when the first wines were exported to Europe in 1883.
Vera Winery is named after the matriarch of the Vasiljevic family, Vera, who inspired the desire to upkeep the tradition of winemaking in the renowned Popovo Polje Valley.
Our devotion to the land, fruit and wine production has driven our desire to bring our unique wines to consumers around the world.
